RIVERSIDE COUNTY, CA – The Riverside County Department of Waste Resources (RCDWR) hosts permanent and temporary collection events for household hazardous waste (HHW). County residents can safely and responsibly dispose of HHW, including electronics, automotive fluids, and garden chemicals at no cost during these events. Proper HHW disposal helps protect local communities and the natural environment from pollution.

Both permanent and temporary HHW collection sites accept a limit of 15 gallons or 125 pounds per resident, per trip. All sites will accommodate multiple trips if storage capacity, facility, and staffing allow. Facilities may close during inclement weather or other hazardous conditions.

Acceptable materials include, but are not limited to, the following:

☣️ Universal Waste (batteries, fluorescent tubes, and bulbs)

Electronic Waste (TVs, printers, and cell phones),

🚗 Automotive Products (motor oil, filters, and gasoline),
