Visit The Education Center
Landfill tours are free for groups of 10–42 visitors and are offered from March 1 to October 31. Tours are available Tuesdays and Wednesdays only, between 9:00 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., and last approximately 90 minutes.
All visitors must:
- Be eight years of age or older
- Sign a Release from Liability and Acknowledgement of Risks
- Wear appropriate clothing for a landfill setting. For example, closed-toe shoes, long pants, and shirt with sleeves
- Wear high visibility vests at all times (provided by the Department)
- Follow all Landfill Site Rules
Submit a community outreach form to schedule a visit and a Recycling Specialist will respond to your request. While we do our best to accommodate as many tours and groups as possible, we cannot guarantee all requests will be fulfilled. For more information, please call 951-486-3200.
