Recycling/Disposal Information and Locations

    Acceptable compressed gas cylinders include:

    1 Lb. cylinder
    • Empty and partially filled small one-time use/disposable compressed gas cylinders as shown below are accepted as follows: 
      • 1 lb. propane or single-use balloon tanks are accepted.
      • Single-Use helium/balloon tanks. 
      • 1 lb./14 oz. MAPP gas cylinders.
    • Empty and partially filled 5 gallon (40 lb.) BBQ propane cylinders are accepted.
    • Home use breathing oxygen tanks (1 lb. or 3 feet or smaller) are accepted.  Valves should be completely open.

    Non-acceptable compressed gas cylinders include, but not limited to:

    • 2-Part Cylinders (i.e. foam, adhesive)
    • Acetylene
    • CO2
    • Calibration Gas
    • Chlorine Gas
    • Freon
    • Industrial Use Oxygen
    • Nitrous Oxide
    • Other compressed gas cylinders may not be acceptable.  For additional information please contact our office at 951-486-3200.
