The Riverside County Department of Waste Resources offers fun, informative classes to help you reduce waste and learn about landfill management/operations. Taught by professional instructors, these sessions cover a wide range of topics like Composting & Vermicomposting, Recycling 1-2-3, Green Landscaping, and more.
Classes are open to all ages and experience levels and are available upon request or on-demand through our online resource library.

Who can request a speaker?
Youth groups, senior groups, civic groups, garden clubs, church groups, homeowner's associations, employee development, department lunch-n-learns.
Where will the presentation take place?
Speakers can travel anywhere in Riverside County. You arrange the location.
Other requirements:
- Group size minimum is 15 people.
- Requests are considered on a first come, first served basis.
- Due to the high volume of requests, some requests may not be able to be accommodated.
- Please note that not all topics may be available for your requested date. In the event a speaker is not available for your selected topic, we will call to discuss alternate options.
